Alex Shiels
Veterinary Surgeon
Alex has been with Mercury vets for a few years now and continues to bring her experience and expertise to the team.
Alex has two lovely dogs Freddie and Duke and loves nothing more than a lovely walk on Dartmoor with her dogs.
This is Alex's dog Freddie, Freddie is a Kooikerhondje. He is super cute, but he is abit fussy as to who he likes.
This is Alex's other dog Duke, Duke is a Golden Retriever. Full of fun and love.
Chris Mills
Veterinary Surgeon
Chris is the man of the house here at Mercury!
Chris has a lovely dog called Nell and 2 cats Len and Peggy.
Chris loves nothing more than coastal and Moorland walks with his family.
Chris's dog Nell, Nell is a classic labrador, loves life and more than life- food!
Stacey Dallywater
RVN
Stacey is our Head nurse. She has been working with Mercury for a number of years and has been in charge of trying to keep the team in working order! Stacey has a keen interest in rehabilitation and behaviour, and has several qualifications in these topics. She has a horse, dogs , Chickens and a cat, and loves being busy outside walking, riding her horse and spending time on the beach with her family.
Stacey's dog -Rusty aka Rusty Robert Rusty is a spaniel x lab, Stacey would say Rusty is the best dog!

Stacey's other dog -Pip! Pip is a spaniel and a special one at that, Pip has a neurological condition.
Stacey's cat -Meg! Meg was hand reared from 3 days old, She is not a fan of the Vets!
Sarah Fisher
RVN
Sarah has been a veterinary nurse for over 30years so Sarah’s experience is key in our small team! Sarah has a lovely collection of animals at home, Bertoid her loevly old dog and two naughty miniature shetlands! Sarah loves spending time out on her kayak in the summer and making crafty things in her barn in the winter.
Bertoid aka Toid/Toidy is a x-breed Sarah rescued many years ago. As you can see he is the most handsome.
Ann Watson
Animal Nursing Assistant
Ann is an experienced animal handler and has been in the industry for 20+ years. Previous to working for Mercury vets she was an animal care assistant and worked in rescue centres. she is great handling all types of pets and is always game for a laugh. When shes not at work Ann loves nothing more than walking and camping with her partner and lovely dogs Simon and Norbert.
Ann's dog Simon, He is a lovely big lurcher and our noisiest dog here!

Carol Dallywater
Office Manager
Carol is our lovely office manager and centre of communications, ready to answer all phone calls and queries. She too keeps us all organised and up to speed! Carol is busy looking after 5 tortoises and loves nothing more than being kept on her toes by her grandchildren.
Catherine Newland
Animal nursing assistant / Office Assistant
Cate is a great addition to our team, she is brilliant out on the field with her love and experience with dogs and cats.
You may also catch Cate helping in our office.
Cate has a lovely old collie called Cloud and a cat called Hazel, her children have a Tortoise and stick insects so she is kept nice and busy at home.

Alison was truly amazing, she was loved not only by our clients here at Mercury but by all of their pets too. Alison started Mercury Vets in 2009, we thought she was mad initially, setting up a mobile practice all on her own. She said it would prove invaluable in the future of the veterinary industry. Well as always she was right.
People soon realised how much more relaxing it was not only for their pets but as an owner to have their pets treated at home rather than the stressful travel to the vet practises.
Alison lost her battle with cancer in 2018, she was a great friend and will be missed but always remembered here at Mercury.
